THE BEACH

The small bay, about two kilometers from the town of Vieste, classified by the Demanio Marittimo as 'An area of coastal Grottos', consists of a stretch of fine clear sand extending to some 300 meters  bordered on each side by a rocky outcrop.

The sea is always calm in this sheltered protected environment. The private beach ,is equipped with sunshades, sunbeds, easychairs, etc is part and parcel of the botanical and ornitholgical park.

Oriented towards the east it provides spectacular views of the rising sun or moon over the seas horizon. Its setting allows the breeze from the east to enter and traverse the whole valley maintaining a fresh microclimate even in the hottest months.
La Punta Lunga, the rocky right side of the beach ,is an ideal place to fly kites. At its point is an ancient Trabucco from where it is possible to take a boat for a tour of the beautiful marine garganiche  grottos. The rocky walls of the coast are some of the most ancient and most interesting of all Italy and reveal easily read geological stratification suggesting large landscapes.

The pinewood borders the sand resulting in a pleasing temperature reinvigorating the swimmers.
Children, as well as adults often dedicate their efforts to building sandcastles right up to the incoming waves, such is the quality of the sand being up to the job that these small works of art remain intact for days on
end.

Since the numbers of swimmers are limited,it is possible to organise social games on the waters edge in total relaxation.
